A recent article in the Business Valuation Review publication focuses on these questions while also addressing the qualities that determine credibility of an appraisal, the importance of focusing on the appraisal under review rather than the appraiser who produced it, and the importance of appraisal review education for all appraisers who perform reviews.
I was honored to be asked to submit this article to the BV journal and I especially appreciate all the help provided by Ray Raft, ASA, CEIV, CFA, who was instrumental in its publication. The article will have a permanent link on our Publications & Presentations page and you can also read it here.
