Salinas, CA – Ag equipment appraisals in Salinas are always a good time. First, there’s that good looking equipment! From top-of-the-line standards to well-maintained, customized classics, the sprayers, spreaders, planters & seeders, harvesters, tractors and other equipment tends to be some of the best in the state. Assets like that are a real treat for an ag equipment appraiser! Custom engineering often adds a level of complexity to valuing the equipment, but that’s just part of the equipment appraisal fun, right?
Next, the owners/operators of the equipment are knowledgable and interested. Gotta admit that this isn’t particular to farmers in the Salinas River Valley or neighboring ag communities of Monterey County, Monterey, King City, Pacific Grove, Soledad, Big Sur, Santa Cruz County, Capitola, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, and Watsonville. Ag folks in general understand the equipment and what it does, they can explain any modifications that were made, and they’re happy to discuss maintenance and equipment use. I’ve said it before and will no doubt say again that farmers are some of my favorite customers. Anytime I get to spend a more than a hours on a farm, inspecting tractors, trailers, sprayers and harvesters, it’s almost as good as a vacation.
And that brings up one other attractive aspect of Central Coast equipment inspections — the coast. When I’m able to string together a series of equipment appraisal inspections down in the Salad Bowl of the World, that means I can spend a night or 2 at a windswept California state park. Sunset over the Pacific Ocean is a fine way to end a long day of equipment appraisal work.
